Jay Ruston and Kill Devil Hill Recording New Music with Engineer Josh Newell.

Kill Devil Hill was recently at Stagg Street Studios in Van Nuys recording basic tracks for some freshly written new music with engineer Josh Newell (Linkin Park, In This Moment). Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Stone Sour), who also mixed the first two Kill Devil Hill CDs, will be mixing the finished tracks once they are complete. Stagg Street is a state-of the art facility which has worked with bands such as Helmet and Faith No More.

After performing on Motorhead‘s Motorboat cruise last September, the band took some time off to write new material, and have been very much looking forward to recording new music.

This will be the first recording with Johnny Kelly of Type O Negative, who replaced Vinny Appice in Kill Devil Hill after his departure to pursue other projects. “I’m really excited about coming on board with Kill Devil Hill,” says Kelly. “I’ve been a fan since their debut and have known the guys for a long time. It’s also clear that I have some really big shoes to fill. I’m ready for that challenge as I prepare for Kill Devil Hill’s next chapter. This is gonna be a blast!”

The band’s latest CD, “Revolution Rise” was released in October of 2013 on Century Media Records.
